The Beginning of The Middle

For the next two weeks my inseparable partner will be my classy new Silver Peugeot 207. I am really excited about this part of my trip for it puts total control into my hands. There are a number of different cool things i wish to see all over France and Spain. So undoubtably by logs will be shorter because i will be doing a fair amount of driving and only seeing one thing per day. For those of you interested in my route here it is

I might make some small changes but i think i will stick to that route.

Anyways, today my first stop was in a small town in France not far from Paris called Chartres. The reason for this stop was to see another architectural wonder the Chartres Cathedral. This thing was crazy huge, resting in the centre of the town on the top of a hill it can be seen as soon as you enter the town from any direction. Im super stoked that i was allowed to take pictures inside this one however there was not a whole lot of artificial light in the cathedral and because it was an overcast day the lighting inside the Cathedral was not Ideal, oh well. The general tour of the cathedral was free but i decided to shell out and tour the top (My new motto for the trip: Spend now, Pay Later, Regret Never). The view was superb.

I  am quite glad that the price of things is significantly cheaper than in the city. Tonight i will have a bed for only 13 Euros. eventually i think i will try to sleep in my car, ill let you know how that goes.

Part of me wishes that i was with my friends going to see Harry Potter tonight, oh well, i will see it when i return home. While they are watching it i will be driving towards Switzerland, more than a fair trade.
