God Save The Queen?

I am slowly getting used to the fact that when people say oh yeah its just s five minute walk, it could possibly be in between 5 and 30 minutes. I feel like people should be a little more accurate. Oh well, this is not the first place that i have encountered this, for those who were on My trip to China will clearly remember Susans, "just one block maybe". Yikes! more like ten!

First on todays order was to see Buckingham Palace. i was lucky enough to be able to see the Changing of the Guard. It was pretty cool because i chose not to view the foot guards over by the palace but instead the changing of the Horse Guard over by the gate.

It was pretty cool. The gate to the Palace and the Queen Victoria Memorial were pretty spectacular but i found the Palace itself to be quite simple and lackluster. It was quite confusing considering the amount of money people over here have dumped into their buildings and such.

I really didnt know what to do next today, its almost as if i have run out of touristy things to do. of course thats not the case, there is so much to do here, but i have been here a while now and have been hittin the city pretty hard. I decided to take up my cousins advise and travel to Camden to see the markets and possibly get some shopping in. Let me tell you it was pretty cool, out of all the things i do when i travel overseas, going to street markets is one of my favorites. There is so much culture within the markets that you dont find in the city. From clothes to foods to trinkets it had everything, and for a minute i had to contain myself... and my wallet. I ended up spending most of my time and money in this one store that sold paintings. Particular paintings and photos of street art done by famous artists such as Banksy. It is so cool to learn about sub-culture that doesnt widely exist in out country. Needless to say i was hooked. I think i will try to develope more of an interest in this sort of thing in the future. Its quite fascinating.

Song of the Day Pt. 1 - "Reckoner" By Radiohead

And Now for the best part of my day...

LINKIN PARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a day i have been looking forward to for about 8 years. The day i get to see my favorite and possibly the greatest band of all time. (if you dont agree i dont care you can go stuff it). It was a very surreal experience. They are sooo good live just as i had hoped. i was really worried that i built this up to much in my head and it would be a let down. it wasnt, it was every bit amazing as i had dreamed. From Chester suberb vocalizing to thousands of fans singing "Numb" at the top of their lungs. The stage and visuals were fairly simple leaving much of the focus on the talent of the band itself. and in this live show it really resounded how good they really are. They played songs from all their albums but mostly from Hybrid Theory and A Thousand Suns. I love almost everyone of their songs so i was happy with the setlist, as i probably would have been regardless. It really impresses me that Chester can hit the notes he does live like he does on cd, unlike a certain front man from 30 Seconds to Mars who really disappointed me. Sadly My Camera was taken away, so no photos, although i made some friends at the show who said they will email them to me, well see how that goes. So in case you have gotten the gist of the last paragraph ill sum up for you. Linkin Park is awesome, I Love Them, The End.

Recommended Listenings From The Concert

Iridescent - A Thousand Suns
No More Sorrow - Minutes To Midnight
Breaking The Habit - Meteora
Crawling - Hybrid Theory

Just a taste of awesome for you. Tomorrow I will see something that i have wanted to see since i was a young boy. Come Back Tomorrow and see what it is. 1000 Imaginary Points to whoever can guess.

Peace
