Such Great Heights!
Left Switzerland this morning. It was quite a shame to leave such a peaceful place, and a hostel with such nice showers. Oh well, the show must go on. Today was the day i visit the Millau Viaduct, which is pretty much the main reason for this two week excursion of mine. The Millau Viaduct is the tallest bridge in the world and a modern architectural wonder. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Other than the fact that it cost me a lot of money to cross it the couple of times that i did it was a splendiferous occasion.
Today was a lot of driving. almost nine hours. I decided that instead of staying in Millau and further enjoying the bridge i would move on. Mostly because there was no cheap hostel to stay in. Which brings me to my next stop over, Carcassonne. I am actually sleeping in a hostel that is inside a castle, its pretty cool and the people are pretty chill. I was welcomed with free dinner and wine with the best apple tart dessert thing i have ever had.
The south of France is amazing. The Drive although long is absolutely gorgeous. it really is like driving through a never ending movie set. With the red dirt and the small towns nestled in quiet valleys it really is a picturesque experience.
I have decided to switch up the next part of my journey. the next stop was supposed to be Barcelona with chillin time and a crazy Cathedral. but i have looked over the route and i feel like its better to go to Bilboa Spain next. The main reason for the switch is that on November 28 Real Madrid plays Barcelona. These are two of the most prolific soccer clubs in the world. People keep telling me to forget about it i wont get a ticket or i will have to pay oodles for it. I am clinging to the hope i will get lucky. Anyway, I shall tour Carcassonne briefly tomorrow morning and then head to Bilboa to see the Mighty Guggenheim. dont know what that is? Stay tuned or go look it up.
Theme Song For Today, You would think I would pick the song linked to my clever title, But i didn't.
