Tea and Scones

I feel like jet lag is starting to wear off, hooray for that. Still feeling a wee bit tired though, oh well. I didn't let that stop me from having a full day. Tate Museum of Modern art was first on my list of things for me to do today.

Highlight of the trip #2

The first exhibit in the Tate modern art museum was a chinese guy who made 100 Million porcelain sunflower seeds. It was an amazing thing to see, i really was awestruck which is why it is my second highlight of the trip so far (the first being Westminster Abbey). In general Tate was pretty Cool. I've never really been in to modern art to much, i still think 60% of it is BS. however the museum today really made me a fan of some of the stuff thats out there, more specifically an American named Jackson Pollock. The second best part of the Museum was on the seventh floor restaurant and bar. It was a great view where i enjoyed tea and scones. it is here i was introduced to my new favorite tea Black-current and Hibiscus... So Good! I need to find this tea back home.

Second thing to see today was the Millenium Bridge or as the locals call it the wibbly wobbly bridge (how profound). Although its not as wobbly as i had hoped it was still pretty cool to walk across, i have been wanting to do that since The Harry Potter Movie where it got destroyed.

St. Pauls Cathedral was another majestic London Landmark. the architecture was unreal as usual, the ceilings, the statues and the giant dome in the middle. so cool. I had the opportunity to sit in on a service led by the choir. It was really cool to hear the acoustics because the choir was not miked, yet the sound carried all the way to where i was sitting. Definitely made me want to visit more cathedrals/churches.

Tomorrow is the 10th, the first of Linkin Parks 2 shows in London at the O2, I might try to go to it tomorrow instead of the 11th as i had planned. well see. Im Crazy stoked to see them! Tomorrow also marks 1 week since i left, its weird, it feels so long ago yet not at all. I find i am counting down the days to the next thing which is Paris and the adventures i have planned!
